On your GIA trip to Germany, you will have the chance to get involved with sustainable forest projects. You will learn about the organization’s work by helping to remove invasive species and installing nesting boxes for bats and birds. You will be based in a beautiful part of Germany, in a biodiversity hotspot, so there will also be opportunities to kayak and enjoy walks around a less touristy part of the country.
Of course it’s not just work, there’s plenty of time for play. You will have a chance to practice your street art, to taste and bike your way around Berlin and visit the beautiful town of Potsdam. Or you could find yourself down in Munich, watching the surfers in the English garden before cycling around the city and visiting the stunning ‘Disney’ castle of Neuschwanstein. There are visits to the salt mines to shoot down slides and the chance to toboggan down the mountain in the summer months. All this, and much much more on your GIA trip!
