University Students

As part of your preparation for entering the workplace, a GIA trip offers you the chance to develop your teamwork skills. You’ll build vital infrastructure; teach English; impart your IT skills to small local businesses; carry out vision tests in communities where such events are rare; care for sea turtles, elephants and dogs; and help look after our planet by planting trees and helping on conservation projects.

Your experiences will be an opportunity to broaden your horizons, to learn how to work with others from entirely different walks of life and to learn. To learn that happiness and success take many forms. To understand that in order to do wonderful things in life, humility, compassion and empathy are every bit as important as determination, tenacity and motivation. All of these things and more you will take away.

And when the service element is over, you will have the chance to explore, dream and discover. To enjoy whitewater rafting in Nepal, kayaking in Guatemala, visiting stunning beaches in Fiji, cooking local dishes in India, dancing Flamenco in Spain, making lanterns in Vietnam, preparing tea in Japan, surfing sand dunes in Morocco or zip lining through the trees in Costa Rica.

It’s worth noting that a trip with GIA is also excellent work experience in the eyes of future employers. It demonstrates a willingness to give, an interest in broadening your horizons, an opportunity to display what a team player you are and the chance to show that you enjoy challenging yourself. It will enhance any resume, make you stand out from the crowd and make the transition from student to employee an easier one.

A trip with Global Impact Adventures truly does what the name suggests. You become part of a community of people dedicated to making a global impact whilst also going on an adventure yourself.

Travel which transforms. Travel with Purpose.
